There are three major public research centres in India which run under the Government of India:1) ISRO ( Indian Space Research Organisation ) :
They also one who recruit CIVIL engineers every year by conducting a written examination. They release a notification in the month of Feb-march. They often take campus recruitment in IIT’s, NIT’s and some top most universities.2) DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation):

Several projects are being allocated to the Professors of these India’s premiere Institutes with sufficient funding to do research works.
