Yield of a Reservoir
The amount of water that can be supplied from a reservoir during specified period of time is called the yield of a reservoir.
ex:- 25,000 cu.m/year
SAFE YIELD:The maximum quantity of water guaranteed during a critical dry period.
It is also called FIRM YIELD.
It is also called FIRM YIELD.
SECONDARY YIELD:The yield which is in excess of firm yield is called secondary yield.
AVERAGE YIELD is the arithmetic average of firm and secondary yields.
